Tribal politics also dominate relations in the region, fueled by blood feuds and shifting alliances among the different tribes. Regardless of these age-old conflicts the fact remains that if we are to view Arab countries as living in the present and not the 7th century as it often appears, it is necessary that these Arab countries demonstrate a humanitarian effort towards people in the region.
