So, instead of offering a common sense and logical approach to a possible second wave ___ protecting those most susceptible to the deadly effects of the virus, namely the elderly, and more specifically those with underlying medical conditions, which account for the vast majority of deaths due to the virus, and allowing the rest of our population to go about its business ___ the evil doers at the CDC promote a remedy which knowingly will cause more harm to the American people and its vital economic base.

Is it not obvious by now we have a Fifth Column movement in the United States whose mission is to weaken and destroy America’s economic base, and make its population totally dependent upon government for its economic needs?

Yes there will be a second wave as we come out and back into society. This virus will be around until it burns its way through the earth’s population. The 1918 pandemic lasted 2 years.

As far as fear mongering, there are going to be people with agendas taking advantage of the situation. They are going to try to keep us dependent on the government.

What we have to remember when we hear too much BS is the common sense thing to do has already been done. We’ve flattened the curve, shifted our industry into making the medical supplies that we didn’t have and needed, started work on treatments and vaccines, put necessary precautions into place for the general health of the public and now we are going back into the world hopefully a little better prepared. We have to be careful but we also have to get on with life. Let the second and possibly third wave come because it’s not ending any time soon.

The fear and hysteria caused by this projection led to an illogical and irrational lockdown of the United States economy, which in itself created countless and untold deaths and destruction in addition to the virus itself.

And now we find out The CDC's New 'Best Estimate' Implies a COVID-19 Infection Fatality Rate Below 0.3%

"That rate is much lower than the numbers used in the horrifying projections that shaped the government response to the epidemic."


What is astounding to know is in 1918, “Generally speaking, the fatality rate for the Spanish flu is calculated at about 2%” LINK far worse than today’s COVID-19 which is below 0.3%


So why are our Blue State Communist/Socialist leaders so bent on not fully opening their state economies? Seems to me they are causing more incidental deaths [suicides, drug overdoses, missed medical procedures and cancer mammograms, etc.], which are in addition to deaths caused by COVID-19. Why do these communist/socialist leaders continue to create fear and hysteria in their states?

Two million was high for the USA. We have good medical care, other poorer countries will have a higher death toll. We also have to remember that while our numbers are Happily not what we expected we aren’t done yet. While NY,NJ and CT were getting hit hard people in other parts of the country were telling me the whole thing was a hoax because they weren’t getting much of anything. I told them it’s not a hoax it just hasn’t gotten to you yet. Then theres the related viruses like Kawasaki in children. It might not hit anywhere near 2 million people but it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Common sense indicated the best course of action was to isolate and protect an identifiable group which is susceptible to the deadly effects of the virus while allowing the rest of our nation’s population to carry on their business while using temporary and enhanced safety precautions.


There is something very suspicious about Fauci’s original advice, which becomes even more suspicious when we consider our Fifth Column Media embraced Fauci’s illogical approach, and the fear and hysteria the pinko media created across the country when subtly attacking, by innuendo, anyone who dared to question Fauci’s irrational and suicidal advice to impose a massive shutdown of our nation’s economy.


If the object was to limit the death rate from the virus, and it was known almost from the beginning that the vast majority of deaths due to COVID-19 were among the elderly, and more specifically, those with underlying medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, chronic lung disease, etc., then the obvious course of action was to focus on and protect the susceptible group while allowing the rest of our nation’s population to go about its business. Instead, Fauci constantly focused on the increase in the number of reported cases, causing fear and hysteria, instead of the death rate being among an identifiable group which ought to have been the focus, and how to protect them.


It seems as though the Democrat Party Leadership’s mantra of “never let a crisis go to waste” was very much in play here, and was successful in paralyzing and destroying America’s thriving economy, while forcing millions upon millions of American citizens into loosing their jobs and dependent upon government for their necessities of life.
