One should be able to recognize the recent, horrific acts by Hamas on the Gaza border and simultaneously acknowledge Israel's decades long mistreatment of Palestinians in the occupied territories without being accused of being a sympathizer of Hamas. Does Israel's oppression of Palestinians justify what Hamas did? Of course not. Is it something that needs to be addressed as part of any future negotiation between the two sides? Yes.
One step in the right direction would be for Israel to stop expanding the settlements in the territories along with sacking Netanyahu.

When Hamas or whatever murderous Palestinian authority is in charge leaves Israel alone, Israel leaves the Palestinians alone. When the murderous terrorists attack Israelis, Israel punches back.

Where is it written that Israel is responsible for a huge Palestinian majority outside its own borders? The U.N. never specified that when it issued each group their own areas. Even the U.N. had to agree Israel could keep the Golan Heights for its own protection after the terrorists had launched so many vicious attacks on Israel from there.

After countless rocket attacks, terrorist bombings of crowded markets and busses full of moms and children, etc. etc. etc., Israel had no choice but to partition off the Palestinians from Israel. Israel cares about its citizens and the government recognizes its duty to protect them.

As the Palestinians have again and again proved to be dangerous and unfit neighbors for Israel, the U.N. should negotiate for and buy or get agreement for land the size of Israel well away from Israel to relocate the Palestinian people. And allow Israel to live in peace.

It is only systemic and persistent hatred of the Jews that continues to blame Jews for 'human rights violations' when it is the Palestinians that have been committing them regularly since 1948.
