Heck, one of these experts had a Grandpa that was once a farmer, you cannot be any more of an expert than that guy.
In a capitalistic market the receiver of the goods incurs the increased cost. In a country with a Socialist Market Economy the prices is extracted from the sender.
That is why tariffs have worked well for China and not so well for us.
I guess the solution is to end the free market and move to a Socialist Market Economy, that seems to be what all of your statist want.
