The republicans will lose in 2014-2016 if they do this again

Isn't it heart-warming that dimocraps want to give us advice on how to win elections?

I feel so good about America now

Well if you weren't on the wrong side of absolutely everything..

:cuckoo:

Sarah---did you miss the bus for kindergarten this morning? Please go watch cartoons, adults are talking here.

I think the cartoons are the problem, she makes sponge bob look like a scholar.

funny, I thought that Rand Paul and Ted Cruz won their elections, and they are the most conservative senators in congress.

No question that Conservatives can still win in solid Red States and Congressionalo districts. That is all they have left.

But if your numbers are accurate and there are 40% Conservatives and only 20% Liberals, Why can't a conservative candidate win the GOP primary for President. Should be easy, but they do not even come close

It should be, but if you didn't notice every candidate that rose to the top during the primaries were cut down by apparatchiks in the media. You like to pretend that's not really a factor though.

the politics of personal destruction has been implemented quite well by the dems and their partners in the media. The GOP needs to take some lessons from them.

the GOP power brokers have made mistakes in choosing their candidates. They and the media picked McCain and Romney and Dole.

and a lot of conservatives just stayed home rather than choose between a far leftist and a moderate leftist. 2010 was much more representative of the real mix of conservatives and liberals in this country.

I'm optimistic 2014 will as well.

The republicans will lose in 2014-2016 if they do this again. You can count on it.

1. Being against birth control
2. Against abortion inside of 20 weeks. Most of this country supports 20 weeks and on...Just not before.
3. 52% of this country approves of gay marriage. Not a good area to run against .
4. May want to lighten up on the anti-pot clap trap
5. Stop opposing wind and solar!
6. Stop looking like you oppose education! ;)

Lighten up the extremism. ;)

It's ok to run being against illegals. They broke the law!

Things you should stand for
1. The of Bill rights
2. lowering the corporate
3. Science and tech
4. Bringing jobs home
6. The truth
7. Economics
8. Attack the victim mindset with the winners mindset. Bring this to the minority that you can do anything and point out what the rats have done to you. Holding you down.

So in other words you wan republicans to be democrat that dont like taxes..... UMMMM No thanks. I have a morel center and dont need spoiled racists like you to tell me I am wrong.

Rand Paul? Even Mitch McConnell hates him.

Until you get leadership that doesn't look and play like the Teaparty, you will never win in Blue states. Until you tell Rove and Palin to stop with the extremist messages, you won't get the presidency back.

Bush/Cheney are still fresh in the minds of American voters and he is actually trying to get his daughter into the senate.

Delusional.

Tea party = small government, low taxes, personal freedom, personal responsibility, fiscal sanity, fairness and equality for everyone. What awful things-----

You are so fucking blinded by left wing propaganda that you have no idea what the tea party is all about.

Blame the media because Conservatives cannot win GOP presidential primaries. The real reason is "The message"

Even Republicans are not buying the conservative message, how do you expect to sell it to the rest of the country?

^^^your opinion, and like most of your opinions, its wrong. 52/48 is not a mandate, obama just barely won both times, the country remains equally divided between those that want a nanny state and those that want personal freedom.

I really do not understand why you favor a marxist statist government. Do you enjoy being told how to live every aspect of your life? are you so insecure that you are afraid to make your own decisions about your life?

I know thats what you want to believe, but its not what is happening. Just the opposite, americans are seeing the failures of liberalism in places like Detroit and California and are waking up,.

How to you explain that 40% of americans call themselves conservative and only 20% liberal?

Those Americans who self identify as conservatives have different political views than what Republicans are selling as conservative

again--your opinion, and again--you are wrong.

stop getting your view of the GOP from far left websites.

Wait, you're not seriously suggesting he did any independent thinking and expose himself to information that challenges his programming are you? He's more likely to develop gills and live in the ocean.

You are ducking the question..

If in fact, 40% of Americans are conservative as you say.....Why can't a Conservative win in the GOP Presidential primary? By that calculation they should get 70-80% of the GOP vote.....yet they do not even come close to getting the GOP nomination

Mathew, until you can articulate what the Republicans positions actually were on any one of these issues, your advice is pretty much worthless. You did well to parrot the MSNBC take on Republican positions but they have very little resemblance to what the actual position is. Republicans were not "Against birth control" for example. They were against the heavy hand of government requiring private companies cover birth control in their insurance package to employees. Republicans are not waging a war on women, homophobic, anti science or anti education. But it would seem your solution to the perceived issues with the Republican policies in these areas is that they don't take the same position as Democrats. But you are right that the positions you listed are unpopular and until the majority of the media stops reporting your list to be the Republican positions, rather than the actual Republican positions, the Republicans will continue to lose elections.

It has to do with the quality of the candidates, but you knew that are are just trying to be a smart ass---and failing at it.

Ron Paul and Bachman were the two most conservative candidates last time, Neither had a chance because they were flawed as candidates. Newt had a shot but he had too many skeletons in his closet, Santorum came across as a baptist preacher.

Next time may be different. Rand Paul, Ryan, Cruz, Rubio, and even Christie do not have the baggage that the conservative candidates had last time. Will one of them step up and become a Reagan? no one knows.

What is certain is that Hillary will always be a screaming, whining, old hag. A woman whose husband cheated on her multiple times, a woman who did a terrible job as secstate. So please run her. I can't wait for the GOP ads of her doing her fake black accent.

Now you are getting closer

The conservative candidates have come across as offensive nutcases. They not only offend the common voter but they offend Republicans as well.

Candidates such as Ryan, Rubio and Christie understand where the line is and do not cross it

Paul and Cruz will come off as nutjob conservatives and will go nowhere in 2016

your opinion-----------and opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. time will tell.

Are you claiming that the main stream media is not biased to the left?

Very true

It is a trap that Republicans fall for again and again and again

Republicans need to sell themselves as small government, fiscal responsibility and jobs, jobs, jobs

But as soon as they are asked a question about guns, gays or god.....they just can't help themselves. Democrats jump all over them with clips titled....."Can you believe what he said?"

In order not to engage in something fruitless one has to have cajones to do so - therefore everyone is referring to Reagan.

And the ability to do so is what makes anybody a leader.
The country is ready for a LEADER, no matter how conservative he/she will be.

It was extremely obvious after the first debate.

Another crutch of the rightwing

"The media hates us"

That whine has been going on since Nixon, yet Republicans have managed to get Reagan and two Bush's elected

What it comes down to is running electable candidates with a clear message. There is no defined "media" anymore. The media is no longer newspapers, radio and network TV it is now the internet, blogs, social media, cable TV. If you have a good message to sell, the hated media cannot block it

"personal freedom"? lol Your party was instrumental in keeping Orwellian surveillance going w/ the most recent vote in the House  More Democrats supported defunding it than Repubs

The House amendment, authored by Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), would have defunded the NSA's controversial collection of phone records. It drew opposition from both parties' leaders, national security officials and the White House, but still attracted the support of 94 Republicans and 111 Democrats in falling just seven votes short of passage.

You have the audacity to claim Republicans are against education while you put up that straw man list?

You talk about truth and you have to lie about Republicans opposing birth control? No one opposes birth control as a political platfrom. The Republican viewpoint is THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULDN'T BE PAYING FOR IT.

You want birth control? Go buy all you want. But if you want to Federal Government to pay for it or you want to force other people to pay for it you can go jump off a cliff.

If you want to advance technology, go right ahead and invest in it. But stop trying to take money from people through taxation to fund what you want funded. We will get much further in tech development if we get the government out of the way and let people be free.

Not to mention that Mathew claims republicans are against wind and solar, they are not. Republicans want the private sector to develop that technology, not the taxpayers.
This administration when choosing a green company has been shown to be paying back campaign contributors.
