And, while not included in this story @ After 60 Years, McDonald's Is Getting Rid Of Its "Cafeteria Look" another major change might be having someone bring your meal to your table!

A heck of a long way from this:

i'll take the cheesburgers for 19 cents , actually it was 13 cents at the 'off brand' hamburger joint back in about 1969 !! Generally when I go for fast food I eat in the car anyway and a sitdown restaurant with waitresses for a good meal !! ------------------------ still , thanks for the photos Longknife !!

Sounds like the price I remember at White Castle.

Used to stop in every time I went home on leave.

Till my stomach couldn't handle them anymore.

( I was about 30 when that happened)

I remember the original in San Bernardino. The original menu was a hamburger, fries, and the choice of vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry shake for 39 cents.

mine was way off brand , probably some local guy that probably got the idea from 'mc donalds, but way off brand . Very good though . Could get a big bag of burgers after drinking beer and cruising around town with Michelle and friends in her DADS little blue comet station wagon !! I was 18 , about !!
