I think that Rome was more expensive. Marco Polo on Netflix is supposed to have cost $90 million for the 10 episode first season. The Pacific, which ran 10 episodes, has been estimated to have cost $270 million.

Maybe this show is the most expensive first season of a basic cable series.....

I will check this out, but the SyFy channel is very hit or miss with their programming. For every Farscape there is at least one Tremors The Series. :p
