The Interesting Scoop on George Washington, Our First President!

In the very beginning of the article:
the men who built America, with slaves

Normally I'd reply like "Is freedom of the Press bad, because it was codified by slave owners."

However, let's take a different approach. Since this article is denigrating that Founders for owning slaves, shouldn't this mean that Gaydom is also just as bad, since it was a slave owner that was Pro-gay?

Most of these men, like Washington (1732-99) and Thomas Jefferson, were wealthy land- and slave-owners who led aristocratic lifestyles

This quote actually shames them for not being SOCIALISTS like Lawrence O'Donnel who proudly proclaims himself a socialist.

Socialists these men were not. Yet some of their personal ethics and standards would reveal that they were more open to what would be considered a “modern,” 21st-century perspective on life

This describes a Libertarian (Non-Agression-Princple), not a Progressive who believe in a robust and active Big Government:
He believed in freedom with discipline; he was left-leaning, but no anarchist. He looked the other way on matters that may have otherwise raised eyebrows when it was the pragmatic thing to do, as he would throughout his tenure as both military leader and leader of the nation.

More Founder bashing:
slaveholding in the first White House in Philadelphia. An example of Washington’s shift in personal politics, however, is his stance on slavery. When Washington was 11, his father died, leaving him 10 slaves. Washington increased his slaveholding between wars to more than 100 slaves as he acquired land in Virginia as a monied aristocrat

So here's the boggle: If this thread is constantly hating on George Washington as a spiteful and evil person, why do this article simultaneously use him to Represent Pro-Gay ideology? Doesn't this imply that Gaydom is as bad as slave owning?

George Washington was a man most could only dream of being. He was honorable and kind. If more people were like him, this would would be a better place.

Absolutely! I certainly agree with you there, though perhaps on little else. If more people were to be tolerable of Gays and Lesbians, as he was, the world WOULD indeed be a better place! Thanks for that reminder! :eusa_clap:

Total crap article without substance. Looks like it was written by someone 16 years old. Which is mentally about right for fags.

EVERY MAN OF HONOR,WHO TRUSTS IN GOD IS ATTACKED, THIS IS NO ACCIDENT,JUST MORE PROOF OF THE EVIL AROUND us all.

As the article states there's no proof that Washington had homosexual relations. With anybody.
From the article:
Historians assert that passionate same-sex friendships were normative in the 18th century.
Surprise! Friendships are also "normative" today. But that doesn't mean guys are suckin' each others cawks.

PLANTING SEEDS OF DOUBT,OLD OLD PLAN OF SATAN=LIKE= DID GOD REALLY SAY YOU WOULD DIE IF YOU ARE OF THE FRUIT OF THE TREE OF GOOD AND EVIL?? BEWARE! beware!

It's part of the gay agenda to re-read texts involving male friendships as homosexual. They say that about David and Jonathan as well r'l.

How about Lincoln?

If you agree with me, why do you post an article derogatory to him?
Derogatory? What are you talking about? It shows him in great light as a wonderful, sensible president who did not have any prejudices against Gay or Lesbian people. That can hardly be considered derogatory. It's absolutely Awesome! More Republican presidents should emulate him in that regard!

Nice to see that you dodged my post.
Dodged it? Not at all. President Washington may have had his faults of those times with the slavery issue, as did most everyone else and that is unfortunate, but as to the crux of what makes one happy it's that he was Pro-Gay and in that regard we can cheer him! Just like we cheer Dubya for signing the Child Refugee Bill in 2008 though we would not agree with much else of what he did while in office.

So some Union dude was suckin' Lincolns' Log? Got any proof other than "Lincoln's marriage was sometimes rocky. The couple fought incessantly! Therefore he MUST have been Gay! Why just look, he preferred the company of men!"

In straight male society that's called "normal". F*ckin' women are crazy sometimes.

You know who prefers the company of Women? Gays.

Rex Harrison must have meant he wished Women had cawks right?:
