Is Dante a closet Log-Cabin Republican?
Probably not, but he still wants to, at the least, give Babeu a hand-job.

    Republican Party - Conservapedia

As Goldwater faded to a lesser role after 1964, a new conservative hero emerged: in the largest and most trendy state film star Ronald Reagan was elected governor of California in 1966 and reelected in 1970.
With the rise of conservatism the national Republican Party became more ideologically homogeneous. This change occurred as conservative politicians and voters joined the (Republican) party and their liberal counterparts abandoned the GOP.

    ----------------------------------------

Hilarious, even on Conservapedia, Republicans want to take credit for what their party did when it was full of "liberals" before all the white conservatives left the Democratic Party and joined the Republican Party which is now 90% white. To make that work, they need to change all of the dates and get rid of statements like the one above.

Conservatives have no success other than to lead America down the road to "good intentions".

Rev. says, "We hope the right wing Christians meet the right Christians".

Republican Abe Lincoln freed the slaves.
A Republican Congress passed the Civil Rights Act of 1866.
The Republican's during the Civil War were "civil rights oriented".
In 1892, the Democrats took the presidency & Congress and repealed most of the civil rights laws.
In 1929, most blacks were Republicans.
In 1932, Republican Herbert Hoover drew 3/4 of the black vote. Democratic Franklin Roosevelt drew 1/4. Roosevelt won.
By 1936, millions of blacks starting changing parties.
In 1942, Democrat Harry Truman integrated the armed forces.
A Democratic Congress passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Shows all the good things liberals have done. It wasn't just blacks who changed parties. Liberals and Conservatives also switched Parties.

The GOP is indeed the Big Tent Party.

BUT....the cover charge to get into the tent is a LOT more expensive now. And, they removed a LOT of the chairs, and replaced them with a world class golf course, a yacht sales booth, a gold sales booth, and added a fancy new booth which specializes in constructing additional wings to large homes.

Also in that Big Tent, they've kicked all the cops out and replaced them with everyone just being issued a gun, they've pushed all the teachers out and instead are gonna home school all their kids. They told the firemen they can stay....but only if they become volunteer firemen.

And best of all? The Tent is located in a tax-free zone. Yep. There are no roads leading to the tent. If you want to get there, you have to go buy some cement, and pave your own road to the tent, then, dig it up behind yourself as you go so no one else gets to take advantage of your spent money.
