Since Charlottesville, several pollsters—Quinnipiac University, the Washington Post, Public Policy Polling, Marist (for NPR and PBS), and Morning Consult (for Politico)—have asked Americans what they think of explicitly racist groups.

What did they find?

The survey data aligns with what I've anecdotally observed in comparing the views of my own Republican friends and acquaintances with those expressed on USMB by folks who appear to be Trumpkins. As I've remarked before, the GOP needs to send the Trumpkins packing. Trumpkins really should form their own party rather than make a mess of the GOP.

The short for me is that there's nothing terribly objectionable about Republicans in general, but the same cannot be said of Trumpkins. Sadly, however, it appears the most vocal members of the GOP are Trumpkins. Accordingly, the only real problem I have with Republicans is that the sane ones aren't making like a haunted house and telling the Trumpkins, "GET OUT !!!"
