My theory about the leftist board members is that they are not evil, nor even misguided, it's just that they are not aware of all the material that we on the right are.

I have heard several mainstream broadcast media, anchors on the major channels, act surprised when a subject that roils us on the right, such as the news about ACORN, or questions about huge weaknesses in ObamaCare, and I believe that they are actually unaware of these questions.

political chic- while they are willing to explicitly embrace socialism- what they are not willing to do is admant the fundamental shakeup of America's foundation that such a transformation from capitalism to socilaism will involve. They believe we must always "progress" away from what came before-regardless of how magnificient what came before was, and is. Its all about change- with no thought to whether its needed, and what it will do. Thats why they want to transform a healthcare system that wotks pretty well for 200 million people. Doin things slowly and workin out the kinks will not do for them. Its all or nothin. Its childlike-really. And the tremendous impact such a transformation of our society will have on American ideals is irrelevant. It is equalirty-not freedom- that forms the basis of their aspirations. We cannot be enough like Europe- we are too religious (and religion is bad. People of faith-particularly Christains- are untrustworthy), we are too greedy (taking care of your own family is not the ideal. Taking care of someone else's is), children are punishment (and we ought to have readily available, no questions asked solutions for them when they pop up), and success is largely the result of birthright.
