The EU is FREAKING OUT Over Trump’s 2024 Return.

8 Sep 2023 ~~ By Jake Welch

The European Union is “freaking out” about the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the White House in January 2025 after the former President announced his intention to reimplement a ten percent tariff on imported goods as he did on European steel and aluminium in 2018.
“It’s on everyone’s mind: what if the elections [in 2024] go the wrong way?” stated an anonymous EU trade diplomat, with an EU-based lawyer advising on trade admitting that EU officials and businesses are “frightened” about Trump’s re-election.
The 45th President floated the idea of a “universal baseline tariff” in a meeting with a number of his aides last month, suggesting it would create a “ring around the U.S. economy.” He later reiterated the plans in an interview, arguing:
“When companies come in and they dump their products in the United States, they should pay, automatically, let’s say a 10 percent tax… I do like the 10 percent for everybody.”

Commentary:
Indeed, that proposal goes over like a lead balloon.
This will mean that Europe and China would have to compete rather than dump goods on the U.S.
Be afraid, be very afraid Europe. You`ll have to work for your dollar.
Actually that`s good for America but bad for grifters like Biden and company.
The people there want President Trump back in the White House. He would immediately bring peace to the Ukraine-Russia debacle that the Biden regime has created. Europeans fear war with Russia more than anything.

Has Biden lowered taxes? Does Biden want Trump's tax cuts to sunset?

Nope he has not. He is a big taxing guy also.

What does that have with Trump threatening to basically add tariffs to every fucking thing we import?

You do understand who it is that pays the tariffs, right?

Do you oligarch democrats really think that unions will drink the KoolAde?
You did not refute:
As Trump said, the "mother-lode" is tariffs on imported cars.
No wonder the UAW loves Trump.

I did not refute it, just pointed out your love of government taxes and interference in the free market.

Trying to bring our businesses back home. Not a bad idea, economically speaking

Wait....we keep getting told that the EU loved trump. :heehee:
The EU is a trade union, so no that organization and the corporations it represents would not like President Trump. They much prefer being able to put American manufacturing out of business.

The people of Europe on the other hand, would much prefer peace with Russia than the war they are getting with Biden.

Yes we understand how tariffs work. They protect and encourage US manufacturing. While people like you prefer to use cheap foreign labor that puts American manufacturing out of business.

Funny how you have no problem with EU tariffs on US goods.

Trump already destroyed US soybean farmers. Of course Brazil is thrilled.

Who tells you that, Bodie?
NATO

Biden was held in CONTEMPT

They’re also one of the main causes of the Civil War.

I'm not going to do a search for you, you can do that if you really wanted to know.
But, off the top of my head, Ford was going to create a plant in Mexico and those
plans were cancelled and they kept it here.

Yep, because demand for smaller cars was catering and they did not need it any longer.

Trump wants "Fair Trade" and not "unfair trade". See the difference?
Navarro & Lightheizer did fantastic work helping US companies compete.

We the people should decide what is fair and what is not. I do not support the government picking winners and losers. But then again I am not a big government nanny state loving fool like you
