Only 2,500 celebrate but it seems more likely to continue there than it is in the good old UsofA! See more pix and read about it @ In This Brazilian Town The Confederate Flag Flies As High As Ever - BuzzFeed News

I had a business associate who traveled to Brazil to tour a factory located in a municipality of San Pablo called Americana.

The area's citizens are all descendants of white confederate Americans who never surrendered and fled to Brazil.

He said that none of them spoke english. That they all spoke the local portuguese language.

And they were all very proud of their unique heritage.

While he was there the people were having their annual Confederate day celebration. All of the people, both men and women, dressed in 1860's antebellum southern style clothes. And the food was your basic southern dixieland cuisine that can still be found in the southern US today.. ......
