I have never met a scout leader I thought was a normal guy

Then leave your beach house for a while and actually visit people. There are tons of good Scout leaders.

The standard for the Church, atleast most churches, is chastity before marriage and fidelity afterwards. This standard is the same regardless who you are attracted to.

And all are welcome to join, but if you want to recieve the full benefits and blessings being part of following Christ, you need to actually live your faith and not just give it support in name only.
