Texas and secession

The false bravado seems to have settled down. Too bad; perhaps Mexico would take in Canada Cruz & company.

Yep. This week, they became Puerto Rico. If secession actually ended up happening they'd become the biggest red state taker in the country.
Hey Rep Crenshaw, have you asked Alexa what happens when you let Republicans control your state for three decades? :auiqs.jpg:

“On Saturday, Gov. Greg Abbott appealed to President Biden for an emergency federal disaster declaration. Biden promptly delivered, freeing federal assistance to flow into the state by the billions of dollars (and without first insisting on an expression of personal fealty to the White House, unlike a former president I could name).” ibid

Fortunately for Texas Biden is president.

‘Texas political leaders haven’t been above mocking other states, such as California, in their times of need. Here’s Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) chortling over Gov. Gavin Newsom’s emergency appeal to Californians to conserve energy during a heat wave last August:

“California is now unable to perform even basic functions of civilization, like having reliable electricity,” Cruz tweeted on Aug. 19.’ ibid

Cruz the arrogant idiot is at least consistent at making a fool of himself – first this asinine statement and then abandoning the residents of Texas to freeze while he enjoys the warmth of tropical Mexico.

You dont seem to understand that the state would have to go through a complete restructuring in order to become independent.
No more money sent to D.C. and of course jacking up gas prices for the rest of you miscreants would really help the states coffers.
