Niche entries happen in most markets.....baseball bats for example. The Pheonix bat Co entered the bat market recently....but will never be anything big with Louusville Slugger and Rawlings dominating wooden bat sales, but there will always be these outlier companies that pull marginal profits yet stay as a sliver of the market.

When it comes time to purchase a new car very few people wake up in the morning and say, "Damn....new car buying time! I'm getting a Tesla!
