    LOL.

    Probably 2 or 3 that don't stink.

And those wouldnt get any mention in 1939.

One of the ten best pics nominees in 2011 is True Grit - a remake of a mediocre 1969 film where John Wayne got A LIFE ACHIEVEMENT BEST ACTOR OSCAR.

True Grit was unremarkable. A glorified Disney flick.

I watched the Oscars when they were hosted by Bob Hope.

Then after that by Johnny Carson.

Since then - been hosted by nobodies/no-talents and crud movies

The 2010/2011 version of True Grit was superb.

A very very good movie. Definitely an Oscar contender.

The young actress, Hailee Steinfeld is an intelligent, charming young lady. She did her role proud. She's a likely winner at the Academy Awards. First in her ROLE: [IMG]

Next, in her real life (ok, maybe a little more glamorous than her every day real life): [IMG]

Also, The King's Speech is a damn fine flick. Another worthy contender.

The King's Speech should win. Colin Firth will get best actor.
