of course Trump wanted the title for himself, and lied Teddieboi into the shadows without even flinching.

We have heard about the "Voting Violation" flyers Ted Cruz sent out in Iowa. We heard about Cruz's robo calls claiming Ben Carson had dropped out and that Carson's voters should caucus for Cruz.

But every time I see this guy on TV, he makes up the most astounding shit. It's amazing.

For example, when asked why the Republicans in the Senate should obstruct an up or down vote on a Supreme Court nomination, Cruz made the following incredibly bogus claim:

"By the way, the Senate's duty is to advise and consent. You know what? The Senate is advising right now. We're advising that a lame-duck president in an election year is not going to be able to tip the balance of the Supreme Court.

"That we're going to have an election, and if liberals are so confident that the American people want unlimited abortion on demand, want religious liberty torn down, want the Second Amendment taken away, want veterans' memorials torn down, want the crosses and stars of David sandblasted off of the tombstones of our fallen veterans, then go and make the case to the people."



What. The. Fuck?



The man makes bizarre statements like this all the time.

And now, yesterday, when asked what kind of "bombshell" Donald Trump's tax returns might have in them, Cruz drops this gem:

"Or you know, maybe it is the case that Donald, there have been multiple media reports about Donald's business dealings with the mob, with the mafia. Maybe his taxes show those business dealings are a lot more extensive than has been reported."


Cruz is saying Donald Trump's tax returns might show Trump is all mobbed up.


There is no smear too low or too bizarre for this guy.


He's a sleazebag.
