Tea party to not represent america

No, social security will never be privatized. That is the surest way to disaster for Americans.

Thats probably true.

But we need to do something.

Increasing age eligibility isnt the way to go. People do live longer. But vitality doesnt necessarily make the trip.

Age eligibility and means-testing are essential. Increase the taxes on it, making sure industry pays its full sure.

First off you are wrong. The tea party represent the views of a good portion of American citizens. Second, we do not need a bigger Gov't. and higher taxes, liberal socialists think that way.

Why do you say that? Just because you have heard FOXNEWS and Right Wingers say that? Whether you like it or not we are a socialist nation. What do taxes pay for that YOU do not need?
Where is the rationalization in your belief? That kindof thinking was fine for 1776 but not 2012 when chilckens and corn do not pay the bills.

I disagree with both.

If you pay in, you should be able to collect.

If you increase the age eligibility you screw over those that have worked in physically demanding fields.

Whatever the solution may be, screwing people over should not be one of them. As huggy mentioned increasing the cap limit will cost me money, But I can still live with that.

These polls are accurate and your hopes are not, Stephanie.

4 of 5 Americans despise Tea Party rhetoric.

So? more than half of those people don't vote therefore their opinions don't really matter when it comes to government policy.

The only part of America that hate the tea party rhetoric would be the leecher half. leecher

They will next year in their tens of millions. They know now who the enemy is, the Tea Party, and will destroy it at the polls.

LOL Still pissed. Thats good.

So now we move forward with a tax increase. That helps but still isnt enough.

I asked you to post up. Why are you such a wuss?

Perhaps it is because I am already well educated on the facts and don't need to offer any more than I have time to contribute to your misguided conversation.

Unlike you I am grounded in reality...not fantasy. I don't waste a minute on Fox lies. I get my information from reliable sources like C-SPAN and a variety of public and other media discussion shows like the McGloughlin report.

Weak and timid people disgust me unless they are in that condition through no fault of their own. Selfishness and being cheap is a weakness. I believe we as Americans are better than that...you apparently do not.

I am finding you have some facts but intentionally lied in your opening post.

You said so just doesnt do it for me.

My post was not a lie. Reagan did exactly what I said he did. I was unaware that Johnson was the first to do it. Thanks for the correction.

No problem, I dont have issue with pointing fingers both ways. But if I must chose sides.

WELL............

How did you feel about Al Gore casting the deciding vote on an additional tax on SS while VP

I'm not really sure what to make of Al Gore. I know he was a coward for handling the Florida election situation the way he did. Clinton was a snake..and still is. I can't help but wonder what his payoff was for changing the media ownership rules and how coincidentally Gore went heavy into investing in his own satellite transmission with his own start up network.

I still liked slick willie, even though he is a worm. Did you have the opportunity to read his op-ed on how to get the country back to work? He had some great ideas. Ideas no one from either side has even addressed.

Clinton was given way too much credit for the prosperity his administration enjoyed. Without the advent of the internet and the Dot Com bubble I doubt he would have had a balanced budget.

I would have liked to at least see him get the chance to manage the burst, see if he was really as good as the numbers indicated or if he benefitted from being in the right place at the right time, but the whole 2 terms thing messed that up...

We'll see but predictions like that are usually as reliable those in the National Enquirer.

TeaBots make up about 18% of the American population.

89% are white.

71% are in the south and the west: Guns and a disdain for anything Government (west) and a history of racism and racist violence (south). 58% keep a gun in the household. Gotta have a gun handy...you never know when a minority will attack.

59% have a good impression of Glenn Beck.

66% like Sarah Palin.

30% do not believe President Obama was born in the US, and another 29% are not sure, making it a whopping 59% who are sure he was not or might not have been born in the US. Their delusion is mostly based on race.

With 18% of the population, they think they should be calling the political shots.

Modern Americans are much darker in color, better educated in many, digitally brighter, and they generally want to part of the "bad" days of the past, while willing to accept the good.

Most of America is much darker in color, better educated, digitally brighter, look to the future for new opportunities not to a failed past, of which they want not part of the "bad" days while willing to accept the good.

The far right of the sixties (the group on the losing side of the culture war) is simply making a last hurrah before they die. They have had some success , but will begin steadily and quickly witnessing an erosion of their strength and ability to influence America. They will die and be forgotten.

Excellent point; Hat Tip! I will look for Bill's editorial. I would like you to weigh in on good or bad.

Everybody is giving President Clinton the credit for balancing the budget.
Don't forget that the Republicans were in power 6 of the 8 years that he was President.

FOUND IT; I cant say I agree with everything, but it is far more then either party has discussed to this point.
