Of course, with a stay-at-home order and social distancing in place, community transmission is vastly reduced. The result is the intra-household transmissions as a portion of overall transmissions rises, because he's an essential worker at a meat factory and, upon coming home, infects the whole family. That doesn't mean sitting at home is dangerous. It just means the risk of community transmission is so greatly decreased that the number of intra-household transmissions (no social distancing there) may exceed transmission numbers outside of the household. Lifting the stay-at-home order and social distancing advisory would still result in a substantial number of household transmissions, just the community transmissions would rise exponentially.

But that's the latest ploy to frighten the peasants. "Sitting at home gets you sick! Go to work! Open up the economy, the ownership class needs their wage slaves so that they can make a buck. Really, sitting at home will infect you with Covid-19!" Of course, you'd be one to rebleat that benighted bullshit.

Cuomo's Health Dept issued an order that nursing homes who sent a corona virus resident of theirs to the Hospital because they were sick with the virus, had to take that resident back in to their nursing home, when the resident was released by the hospital because they no longer needed hospital care, and could recover the rest of the way at their home.

BUT HERE IS THE KICKER, your NY Post article did not seem to emphasize.... it was under conditions;

-the nursing home had to have a separate ward/wing in their facility to house the returning home from their hospital stay covid19 residents....

-with a separate staff and care takers, that only worked in the COVID Ward and not in the nursing home part for non covid residents

-with a separate entrance to this Covid ward for workers to go in and out not connected to the regular part of the nursing home

if the nursing home could not accommodate an isolated ward and staff for these returning from hospital covid residents, or did not have enough beds in it to accomodate the returning resident, then the Nursing Home was to contact the Dept of Health, and the Dept of health would take them in to a facility they set up for nursing home residents who could not be accommodated by their original nursing home.

The State Health Dept does not have enough beds for all returning to nursing home residents, but can accommodate the people whose nursing home can not fit them there, under the strict guidelines of a separate ward and staff.....
