One of Canada's great tragedies is over.
Instead of helping with his mental health issues, Canada turned on Fonyo.
I have learned in the past few years that Canadians really aren't very nice people.

I've long thought Terry Fox's inability to complete his journey as opposed to Fonyo played a big role as to why the latter didn't seem to be as well-known in this country. Maybe that is my perception.
