"Vote-fraud defenders have been using Viviette Applewhite, a 93-year old Pennsylvania woman whose birth certificate copies were destroyed in two separate house fires, as the “star witness” against Pennsylvania’s new Voter ID law."

"Except… the day after a judge refused to issue a temporary injunction against the voter ID law, Applewhite hopped on a bus, went to the PennDOT center, and got herself an ID card. She apparently did this without consulting the vote-fraud defenders that have been using her as a prop in their legal battles. Now they’ll need a fire hose to clean the egg from their faces."

"Mother Nature created houseflies, cockroaches, maggots, mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, slugs, leeches and intestinal parasites. "

"Then she lowered her standards to a breathtaking new depth of depravity and created Progressives."

What ID is required for an absentee vote?

Here's one example:

Please be aware of the identification requirement for first time voters who vote by mail. To fulfill this requirement you must provide a copy of an acceptable form of identification* with either your registration application or absent ballot request form.

Please direct any questions regarding absentee voting to your respective County Clerk/Registrar or the Elections Division.

Forms of ID may include:

Current Nevada Driver's License
Current Nevada State Identification Card
Rent receipt with pre-printed address
Bank statement or pre-printed check
Credit card statement
Car registration or proof of insurance
Government document (tax bill, income info.)
Current utility bill

Questions?

Ever notice, it's always the leftists who can't get Id's, they can't figure out how to work voting machines, etc. Bunch of dummies.

My my, that sure must be difficult if a 93yr old lady can do it on her own that fast.

There is no excuse but being extremely useless to prevent anyone from attaining an id given the amount of time to get one prior to the election.

Applies to any first time voter

Once you are registered, you don't need an ID to vote. If you have been registered for 30 years, you don't have to show ID to absentee vote but you do need to show ID to vote in person

Isn't that the point of the debate, to require I.D. in ALL circumstances. Require it all the time.

State ACLU director Witold Walczak’s warned there were “thousands of Ms. Applewhites out there who still don’t have ID. It would be nice if PennDOT relaxed the rules for all of them.” Oooga-booga! There are still monsters under the bed! Trust us!

Walczak is as disingenuous as the defenders of vote fraud always are. As verified by the Inquirer’s observer, the state did not “relax” any rules for Applewhite. It followed the rules, which proved flexible enough to handle the most extreme hard case the ACLU could dig up. Actually, an even better ending for the story would have been issuing a new birth certificate to Applewhite, who said she has been trying unsuccessfully to obtain one for years. It has always been puzzling why these vast, well-funded “civil rights organizations” didn’t use their resources to help her, instead of using her as a puppet in the courtroom.

Well, okay, it’s not “puzzling” at all. I was just being polite. Game, set, and match for voter ID.

What ID is required to register?. Absentee ballots are mailed only to the address on the voter registration, are they not? (If not, they should be)

But, as we've seen lately, there have been a number of Democrats convicted of absentee ballot fraud. Is it a big jump to assuming that hundreds of dead people voting could go undetected?
Before you tell me that there is very little evidence of that happening, tell me just how does the state go about detecting people voting in the place of dead folks when the dead don't bitch a whole lot?

Suppose you went in to vote after work this November and you were told you and your dead mother had already voted? What if it could be established that both of your votes had been cast for Mitt Romney? Would that soften your views on voter ID?

"Karl Rove’s Super PAC, Crossroads GPS, and the Koch Brother’s Americans for Prosperity have given up the ghost in the Keystone State and pulled their advertising dollars, conceding victory to President Obama.

Just because you have the most dollars, doesn’t mean you’re gonna win – at least in Pennsylvania."
