n watching some of the coverage on the Edwards case, it was brought up that the wife of his former political ally turned to her spiritual advisor when she found out about the out of wedlock baby his lover was having.
It has been an interesting revelation, even before GSA's expressive exposing of political dependencies, that spiritual advisors, even of the more occultish/superstitious shades, are in high demand by most politicians in and out of the public eye.
Is this something that we collectively see as becoming more relevent as time passes and the more controversial, diverse cultural influences bleed into our American traditions?
I am personally interested in knowing more about what is made available to those who are in office. Are politicians and our political leaders limited to only the Advisors in which mainstream approves of, or are they allowed the freedom to select Advisors according to world view? This may become more important as time passes and I would hope the latter to be the way of it.
