Taxes and the Economy: An Economic Analysis of the Top Tax Rates Since 1945

The economy was humming under Clinton, but it wasn't because of Clinton or the tax rates. The economy goes up and down in cycles, some better than others. We were due for a major recession during the Bush years. Bush's policies, and Greenspan's in particular, delayed the recession for a long time, but in doing so it just created another bubble which caused an even bigger recession when that bubble burst.

I like that logic. If the economy is doing well under a democrat president, it's nothing to do with him, if it's doing well under a republican, it's their policies.

A+.
