Stop Islamization of America is filing suit against SMART, the government agency that handles advertising for bus ads in Detroit, for refusing to run our religious liberty bus ads. SMART's guidelines guarantee the freedom of speech, and it is clear that our ads were refused because of politically correct dhimmitude and self-censorship for fear of the Muslim community in the Detroit area.

Our bus ads are running in New York City right now, and have run in Miami. Why should Detroit stand against religious liberty when other cities have allowed for it?

Here is a pdf of the complaint.

Wow first your story and then this-

KKK-sponsored event won't happen near Mokena

A Nordic Fest Web site indicated that advance tickets to the rally cost $25, though children under 12 were free and encouraged to attend.

"How else are we going to teach our children?" the Web site read. "This is a weekend event for white patriots in which there is camping, vendors, speakers and bands. As well as a cross and swastika lighting."

    This depends on two factors:

1.) Are the bus companies private?

2.) Have bus companies allowed any group of any view on religious have specifically ads about religion in the past?

If the answer to the first question is no, and the second one is yes, they have a case. Otherwise, they're SOL.

Outrage is so much more impressive when you whip a legal whammy on someone.

If the company's private and hasn't allowed religious ads in the past, I can see this case being chucked awfully quickly. Then again, if this company is private by itself, should it be allowed to refuse who it gives ad service to? Common sense says yes.
