But Hunter never held office!', I hear you say. Well that is not how the game works. There are few cash payoffs directly to a politician any more, it is to their nearest relative instead who acts as a conduit to the politician in services and goods purchased with the cash they get in 'charitable donations;, etc.

But what is Corporate Crony Capitalism? What is a political machine?

Crony capitalism - Wikipedia

Crony capitalism is an economic system in which businesses thrive not as a result of risk, but rather as a return on money amassed through a nexus between a business class and the political class. This is often achieved by using state power rather than competition in managing permits, government grants, tax breaks, or other forms of state intervention[1][2] over resources where the state exercises monopolist control over public goods, for example, mining concessions for primary commodities or contracts for public works. Money is then made not merely by making a profit in the market, but through profiteering by rent seeking using this monopoly or oligopoly. Entrepreneurship and innovative practices which seek to reward risk are stifled since the value-added is little by crony businesses, as hardly anything of significant value is created by them, with transactions taking the form of trading. Crony capitalism spills over into the government, the politics, and the media,[3] when this nexus distorts the economy and affects society to an extent it corrupts public-serving economic, political, and social ideals.

Political machine - Wikipedia

The machine's power is based on the ability of the boss or group to get out the vote for their candidates on election day.

Although these elements are common to most political parties and organizations, they are essential to political machines, which rely on hierarchy and rewards for political power, often enforced by a strong party whip structure. Machines sometimes have a political boss, often rely on patronage, the spoils system, "behind-the-scenes" control, and longstanding political ties within the structure of a representative democracy. Machines typically are organized on a permanent basis instead of a single election or event. The term may have a pejorative sense referring to corrupt political machines.

This patronage system is what gets the Clintons and Bidens all their billions of USD donations from avid foreigners, hoping to purchase an inside track into our political system. They offer these incredulous dupes the illusion of access in return for huge cash payments that they may or may not be able to deliver on.

I made up this chart to illustrate the pieces of a typical corporate crony network with a political machine.

Hunter Biden is only the start of 'draining the swamp' and this is why Trumps phone call to the Ukrainian leader instigated the current unspecified 'impeachment inquiry' that is not an impeachment inquiry, as the Democra cronies dig for dirt on Trump, but that isn't digging dirt, that is protecting our Constitution, right?

Amazon Is Thriving Thanks to Taxpayer Dollars

As Amazon builds up its distribution network, it’s hit on a trick long practiced by the likes of Walmart: using the federal government to help pay its workers. A new study by Policy Matters Ohio found that more than 700 Amazon employees receive food stamps, or more than 10 percent of the tech giant’s 6,000-strong workforce in the state. Some of those recipients may be part-time help, but the fact that they need federal aid to survive suggests that they would be happy to work more. “Why is this giant, successful company offering such limited pay and hours of work that many of its workers need help buying food?” asked Zach Schiller, research director at Policy Matters....

Amazon ranks nineteenth among Ohio businesses in number of employees on food stamps, behind Walmart, McDonald’s, and Kroger. But Amazon is only the fifty-third-largest employer in Ohio, suggesting a higher rate of employees on food stamps than its counterparts. More important, Amazon has obtained at least $123 million in state tax incentives to place warehouse and data center locations in Ohio. This reflects a perverse form of double-dipping: Amazon gets a bounty to create jobs in Ohio, and then a good chunk of the jobs are so low-paying that workers have to seek federal assistance, providing a second subsidy for the e-commerce giant.

Ok, I can’t agree with you about the tax dollar thing. If they didn’t have jobs with amazon it would be much worse. Turn it around. Without amazon many more dollars would be going to welfare recipients.

I keep sayin' that this whole thing has got a good leaving alone because a bunch of crooked republicans could very likely get caught up in it.

I am quite fine with hanging a few squishes from lamp posts along with Dems.

Why do you think that they couldn't get real jobs if Amazon was not sucking them in?
