The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command is investigating after more than 60 protective masks, three radiation test sets and hundreds of rounds of ammunition disappeared from a storage cage at Fort Hood. The command says 61 M50 protective masks, three AN-UDR-13 Radiac Test Sets, 240 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and 230 rounds of 9mm ball ammunition are missing from the supply cage. The Radiac Test Sets are compact devices used to measure the dose rate of radiation from a nuclear detonation. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Fort Hood CID office at (254) 287-2722 or to use the CID's digital crime tips system, which can be downloaded on a smartphone or other internet connected device.
