Rand Paul has earned a little more political currency. Mitch McConnell has lost a little, and he is going to make Rand pay for it.

It seems that it means the Guvment cannot indiscriminately pull "metadata". The phone companies cannot give it up without a warrant.

Rand Paul doesn't really have a realistic chance to win the GOP nomination. He and Teddy Cruz are basically seen as being too far over the edge.....Eh.

Instead of the government indiscriminately collecting everything, they'll just indiscriminately force private companies to turn over that data. What an improvement. Of course, the idea that they stopped collecting this information after Sunday or that they won't now is absolutely laughable.
