Those Asian-looking soldiers are probably Buryats. They are a Mongolian ethnic group from Russian Siberia near Lake Baikal, about 4,500 km from Ukraine.

Foreign Policy Journal:
Now, one week on, Ukrainian forces have solidified their defenses and moved forward the sort of heavy weaponry, including battle tanks, that was supposed to be removed from the front lines as part of the Minsk II Agreement.

Since last abandoning its policy of disengagement last fall, Ukraine has been making increasingly frequent incursions into the “gray zone” — the no man’s land between government and separatist forces along the front line that the two sides have fought over since the signing of the first failed peace agreement in September 2014.

Ukraine, Putin continued, “needs money right now and you can best get money from the EU … the U.S., and financial institutions if you portray yourself as a victim of aggression.”

But the fighting in eastern Ukraine is complex and as much driven by domestic as international factors. “Right now,” Minakov said, “there is no party of peace in Ukraine.”

Look at the Russian army and its abilities demonstrated in Syria and how efficiently they are cleaning Syria from ISIS (over 87% of Syria is deliberated) and you will understand that if Russian regular troops were in Donbass (as you claim), Kiev would be ruled by Russians (not by Soros puppets) 3 years ago.

And ISIS has been trained and supplied with the most modern weapons directly from Washington, while Ukrainian Army was neither trained nor well weaponed.

There are a lot of ethnic groups in Russia, they could even be Kazakh or Kyrgyz.

Bato Dambayev is one soldier from the 37th Motorized Infantry Brigade and returned home to Buryatia after participating in the fierce fighting in the Debaltseve warzone. Before fighting in Ukraine, Bato Dambayev trained at a large camp near the Russian city of Kuzminka, just like Dorzhi Batomunkuyev, the Buryat soldier of the 5th Tank Brigade who gave a now infamous interview with the Russian independent newspaper Novaya Gazeta detailing his involvement in Debaltseve.

In his interview, Batomunkuyev specifically mentioned that contract soldiers from Kyakhta joined him when crossing the border to fight in Debaltseve. Like many other soldiers of the 5th Tank Brigade and the 37th Motorized Infantry Brigade, Dambayev photographed himself with a Siberian Husky puppy at the Kuzminsky camp. Additionally, he traveled to the nearby city of Taganrog with other soldiers during his free time, while deployed near the base.

However, they did not stay too long in these camps, as they eventually departed for Ukraine in February to deal a decisive defeat to the Ukrainian forces near Debaltseve."

There are videos of an Asian soldier when Russian soldiers with no insignias invaded Crimea, not sure where he was from. Putin later admitted they were Russian troops though.

The pictures must have been taken in Russia (for example during military exercises, everybody can easy find them on the Internet), not in Ukraine. And the pictures may be true with fake explanation.

It's been a well known trick of Ukrainian propaganda since the coup.
