    Art is not permitted in islime, except, if related to islime. Same for literature, poetry and music.

    It's viewed as a distraction from being pious. Kill the infidel, yes. Sculpt, not so much

    Unfortunately it does seem to be the way many people over there feel, artists were being killed in the streets of Iraq after the 2003 invasion.

    Unless related to islime, all artforms in islime are banned as infidel tools. There are even those muslimes who oppose artforms related to islime.
