Some one on here will discover this is really a secret plot to get rid of the Arabs.
This kind of thing goes on all the time in Israel. I wish some of the posters here would actually visit Israel. Then maybe they won't demonize Israelis so much.
Those ones do not want to change their views.
Secular and non religious Jews do not exist in Israel apparently, and Arabs and Jews are separated by race and religion in Tel Aviv; and there is a concentration camp next door to the Knesset so they can keep an eye on all the 'pesky Arabs' in Israel.
PS: Coming back to reality, Jerusalem is a religious city; there is bound to be heavy tension, don't blame the rest of Israel that doesn't actually live there, instead the local authorities that are off the deep end.
Your sarcasm aside, of course there are bound to be tensions between all of these peoples. Even the Druze get pissed if you're not their kind of polite so we all know a bit about each other in order to live together. Be sure of that. If you look at the horror that the death of Rabin brought forth from the Jewish community and the price we have to pay to even get our dead back from the Arabs, then you might see that we as a small group of people are horrified when our own kill our own. Look across the street and with clear eyes.
The horror that a Jew did this to another Jew. Yes, we separate our highly orthodoxy by choice. Separation is a good thing. That's why the separation of Church and State in America does so well. Israel is not there indeed, however in the Middle East there's nothing even close to that separation and Israel is a clear Democracy. So that the strict observance is not couched with the not so strict observance. That's sense. That's tolerance. They tolerate us and we tolerate them and the great chances are that neither would die if Israel was not in a state of declared war. As it is, who can say.
Many do not want to see any of that, preferring a removal of the entire arena and an Arabian country of Palestine in its place. Ever since the birth of Israel has this been so. Israel has the ability and the wherewithal to protect itself from attack. It will do so and with it's previous policy of returning for to double all the million cuts that are inflicted.
There are two sides to this story and both sides are compelling, but the reality is that Israel is there to stay and unless the borders of the Pan Arabian arena are stabilized in a peninsula wide peace I see little use of a peace with a group simply desirous of the death of those it wishes to make peace with.
Will all this education keep Israel from bulldozing Palestinian homes to make room for more settlers?
Claiming bulldozers are helping palistanians in the settling enterprise of the latter is ridiculous.
It seems that the biggest divide among the people is Israeli government policy. I don't think education will make much difference if the cause of the problem is not addressed.
Ah, affirmative action. Pathetic.
