Scam Alert: Beware of Phony Chat Boxes on Bank Sites
3/01/12 - Banks generally go to great lengths to make sure their Web sites are secure, as any kind of security breach carries the risk of considerable financial loss, but a new bit of malware could compromise bank customers all the same.

I used a chat box on a bank site a few months ago and they did not ask for personal information but went through the steps to solve the problem. When that did not do any good they gave me a phone number to call. So before calling I verified that the number I was calling was indeed to the bank. I always verify phone numbers or addresses first. It only takes a few minutes, but a few minutes to check is a lot better than spending months straightening out identity or financial problems caused by hijacking or hacking.

I know many times we are in a hurry but that one time you don't take the time to check .....
