I found that article absolutely offensive and puke-alicious. Like we had some obligation to this guy to live up to his half-assed fantasies of us, and because we turned out to be a real nation full of real people with real laws and concerns instead of his pie-in-the-sky, Promised-Land Utopia, that makes US bad and not "kind and just".
