The Socceroos' vital FIFA World Cup qualifying win began with controversy after Saudi Arabia's players appeared to ignore a minute's silence for London's terror victims.

When the stadium announcer called for a minute's silence to honour the victims of last weekend's London attack, the 11 Australian players on the field lined up at the centre circle with arms on their teammates' shoulders.

Their opponents from Saudi Arabia, however, milled about separately on the other side, seemingly ignoring the gesture.

Football Federation Australia said after the match that the Saudis knew about the plan to hold a minute's silence before Thursday's World Cup qualifying match but declined to participate.

Anyone who thinks Saudi Arabia is our friend...and anyone who sells them weaponry...is a fool.
Often with soccer games in Europe we make a speech about racism and well those assholes can not make a minute of silence for the victims of the attack of London it shows well that they are crammed and that is the same for many members at this forum. Hypocrites who support the terrorists.

Most Viking men were all-round handymen, but some had special skills. There were boat-builders, for example and potters, leather-workers and smiths. Most Viking men knew how to handle a boat. And most could fight if they had to, to protect the family or to support their chieftain.
Women baked bread. They did spinning and weaving to turn sheep wool into cloth. They looked after the children, made the family's clothes and cooked the two meals a day most families ate. On the farm, women milked the cows and made cheese.
