Multiculturalism and globalization have spawned new forms of 'anthropological dialogue.'

Saris from India have become representative of cultural uniqueness and identity in women's fashions in Asia.

The sari is an elegant fine-cloth garment draped around the female figure (similar to a toga).

We can compare the Indian sari to the toga from Greece (Ancient Greece) to understand East-West fashion parallels.

Such parallels can help us create culture/couture branching in the development of globalization since the advent of sea travel, when people from different continents began to seriously trade with one another.

The evaluation of 'culture/couture streamlining' seems to be a hallmark in modern-age TV programming, since audiences are curious about the anthropological impact of confluence, which explains the appeal of 'couture-access' programs on American TV such as Mexican Made Easy and Everyday Italian.

Therefore it would be interesting for an Asian Studies and/or History and Fashion scholar to do an evaluation of the sari-toga fashion contours and find parallels between Ancient India and Ancient Greece.

For example, in both Ancient India and Ancient Greece, we find interesting focus on geometry-plays and figurine-canonization (e.g., avatars and gods).
