But they will ruin Romneys chance in the general election against a terrible incumbant.

The only thing hurting Romneys chance is his lack of conservatism, if he had the background and record of being conservative he would not need the other candidates to drop out.

Say what you will about santorum, but he is the more solid choice among conservatives and the polls show it in the states where it counts "Against obama, not romney".
