So there was Frothy last night, with his moving speech about his grandfather, and a little story about how the guy escaped Fascist Italy and Mussolini right before WWII and became a coal miner in Pa.

But then, he spoiled it. He spouted the idea that Obama and Mussolini have much in common, that somehow we are emulating that Fascist regime in the last 3 years.

And NO ONE CALLED HIM OUT ON THIS, NOT ONE PUNDIT!!

This insults the memory of Mussolini's millions of victims. Santorum said that "Obama is creating a medicaid and food stamp nation," just like the place his grandfather left in 1925.

Another hate-spewer, this time in a pleasant voice and demeanor. Don't be fooled.

Fascist Italy had neither "medicare" nor "food stamps".

This is hardly the first time a progressive has been compared to a fascist. It wont be the last.

I know it upsets you to actually compare totalitarians. But most of them are similar.

Normally I would think it's a tad over the top, but in the wake of his so called Recess appointment of a man the Senate Rejected, when the Senate is technically not on Recess leaves me wondering how over the top it really is.

Obama clearly thinks he is smart enough to be allowed to skirt the Constitution when it suits him. Tyrants have been born this way, the best intentions can lead to the worst out come. Every new power Obama grabs up will be used by Future Presidents as well. Unless he has plans not to leave the WH in 1 to 5 years when he constitutionally will have to :)

link, perhaps?

When Santorum compares Obama to Mussolini, he's being kind. I compare Obama to a regular old sack of socialist horse shit.

If you think this tiny little tid bit of comparison about obama and his close socialist/commie cousins is upsetting, then you better get the bandages ready now because your fucking head is going to explode later. The right wing hasn't even STARTED it's campaign against the kenyan and all his FAILURES, BROKEN PROMISES, CZARS, EXECUTIVE ORDERS, SPENDING, CORRUPTION AND OUTRIGHT INCOMPETENCE.

The fun hasn't even started yet and the left wing cry babies are already sniveling. Sheeeezuz.... :eusa_hand:

This may play well to the Base, but it’s a turn-off for moderates, independents, and weak democrats. Which will in turn hurt Romney when he’s the nominee, as it makes all republicans appear ignorant and irresponsible.

Of course.

After all, Obama got the idea from Bush's lawyers.

Bull shit... it's what people need to hear to wake them up, and the more people that hear the truth about obama, the worse the landslide is going to be against him, period.

I think most of the candidates have misjudged their base.
