Ok, so Fleischer is saying in essence that "we said that these weapons were a direct and imminent threat". He obviously misspoke, unless you can show me who actually said what he is referring to.
LOL... You are so funny....
You spend all that time trying to be super semantical about all of the details to state your point that the Bush Regime never asserted that "Saddam and/or Iraq", posed an "imminent threat", to "US". Numerous examples of numerous variations wasn't sufficient. You semantically wanted all 3 of those items to be listed in 1 sentence.
Then when an example is clearly given to you, which asserts it all, and proves your point wrong. You try to just dismiss it. You wouldn't even leave the quote as it was, which included all aspects.
On May 7, 2003, a reporter asked then White House spokesman Ari Fleischer: "We went to war, didn't we, to find these because we said that these weapons were a direct and imminent threat to the United States? Isn't that true?"
"Absolutely." the spokesman replied
This final example, absolutely connects it all together. War with Iraq, direct and imminent threat to the US.
That was the main point of this whole discussion between us 2. And this clearly connects all the dots in a way, that you can't even use your super semantics to dodge it.
Which proves you flat out wrong on that point.
Just admit it and move on.
