Yep. Love to retire to SD (or even north of there), but I'd be out of money inside of a year or two.

Expensive is an understatement...but I want to retire there.

I'm surprised to hear San Diego is so expensive now. That's one of the places I lived the longest (growing up we moved around a lot) and it was affordable then. I would've guessed the Bay Area would be more expensive.

YES San DEIGO and LA are more expensive than SF or NYC

I figure a lot of wealthy SF moved to LA
