LONDON, (PIC)-- Raed Salah, leader of the Islamic Movement in Israel, said after consulting with a legal team that he would stay in England to file a lawsuit against the British authorities over his arrest in July.
On 29 June, British Home Secretary Theresa May issued a travel ban and deportation order against Salah who was travelling to the UK, accusing him of anti-Semitism.
A British immigration court will look into Salahs appeal of the deportation order on 26 and 27 September.
On September 14, the court will be deliberating the legality of the deportation order against Salah ahead of the deportation appeal.
Salahs lawyer Hussein Abu Hussein told Al-Jazeera.net that Salah was never under investigation for prior activities in which he was involved on British soil and that both the deportation order and administrative orders against Salah were based on Salahs files in the Israeli courts.
But he expected that the British courts would try to guard the state from being exposed in an international scandal after basing the case on unreliable information.
