The Revolt of the Kulaks Has Begun
The beginning of a protest movement against Barack Obama's redistributive policies is underway. Though still small, every movement starts somewhere. While called the "Tea Party" after the Boston Tea Party, this movement is similar to movements throughout history where the producers of society refuse to have their property and income confiscated.

This movement can succeed if it does not stop at protest and includes changes in economic behavior. Obama's redistributive plans require higher taxation, but higher tax plans (to be announced this week by Obama) are based on the fallacy that the "rich" will not change their economic behavior in reaction to higher tax rates.

History tells us, however, that economic redistribution plans fail because the producers of society would rather not produce, than have the fruits of their production taken away and given to others. Obama can raise the tax rates on income, but he cannot force people to generate income to be taxed. People may just say "no." This resistance will not come from evading taxes, but from evading taxable income. In the end, as must all economic redistributors, Obama either will have to resort to repressive measures, or he will have to abandon his redistributive plans...

What ridiculous analogies, ultimately spawned by an expansive ignorance of political economy. We first see mixed-market capitalism inaccurately conflated with socialism, and then see socialism inaccurately conflated with state capitalism.

None of the idiots who write this garbage could address the most elementary questions about political economy, I'll wager.

EDIT: Incidentally, the OP is among those who lack an understanding of political economy. The last time that anarcho-communism was discussed on this forum, she referred to Marxism, despite the divergent means and ends of those two theories.

Good thing I don't listen to you two. Dismissed. :eusa_whistle:

lol, there aren't enough wingnuts left in the country to screw in a lightbulb, let alone foment a revolt.

It's coming.... keep joking about it.... but it's coming.... things WILL get worse, and obama will want to just keep spending money America doesn't have.... money WE don't have.... and the revolution will happen. It will be the only option left to REALLY fix things. The only REAL *change.* I just hope that when we wipe out obama, we wipe out some of his dough head worshipers with him.

I wonder if the Secret Service will be paying you a call?

What's really amusing is that we've been spending money we don't have all along...in other freaking countries...and none of you morons revolted. Now money is being spent on America and it just kills you because it is the Dems that are doing it and not the Reps. You're so transparent.

There's not much of a meaningful difference between Democrats and Republicans when it comes to an economic policy. To say that there's no difference whatsoever would be going too far, but it's certainly not especially meaningful.

You can't justify spending money we don't have in some liberal spending orgy because bush dumped billions in Iraq. Two wrongs don't make a right. No, I don't think going into Iraq was a good idea. Surprise ya? Well, yes there's conservatives that think the war in Iraq was a huge mistake.
