The first bill should have never been passed. The use of racial profiling is the only way this law could have had any real impact on illegal immigration. Now the revised bill say officers can only "question people about their immigration status if there's reason to suspect they're in the country illegally." And what might those reasons be if not race? The revised law will just about nullify the first law.
