seems mccain and the gop are flooding swing states with automated phone calls...much in the fashion of what bush and the gop did to mccain in sc in 2000.

Negative ads...are they gonna work for mccain or work against him?

With 17 more days or so..how desperate will both candidates become?
Obama has told his supporters not to get "cocky" and assume this is a win.

I don't think this will work unless you are already against Obama.

The independents may just be put off by this.

This is an example of what the old John McCain wouldn't do.

Since this is the first time the Dem has had more money than the Repub, he can out add him by 4 to1.

I think the "moral majority" have proven in the past that they are willing to go to any legnth whatsoever, no matter how unscrupulous or how disgusting and immoral to win. They don't care if they cheat... they are so power hungry and corrupt.

Won't work.

Harsh reality is superceding all the lies that they can come up with, this time.

On CNN a lady called in who's seven year old daughter answered the phone to one of these calls talking about bombing the pentagon. The little girl was I guess scared and confused. Did the McCain camp ever think about children answering the pphone? They are only doing this because this how Bush beat him in the southern states.

His campaign doesn't know what to do. :clap2::clap2::clap2:

NEW YORK – The misadventures of Joe the Plumber were just the latest stumble for Republican John McCain as he veers from one idea to another in a thus-far elusive quest to slow Barack Obama's momentum.

Joe Wurzelbacher was supposed to be the Republican presidential candidate's ace in the hole — an average, working-class Joe whose dreams of something better might be thwarted by Obama's plans. The Ohio plumber challenged Obama's tax policies and got the Democratic presidential nominee to say he wanted to "spread the wealth around." McCain told Wurzelbacher's story at the final debate Wednesday in a bid to paint Obama as a tax-raiser out of touch with regular Americans.

But Wurzelbacher's story didn't quite hold up under inspection: He isn't licensed as a plumber in an Ohio county that requires one. He owes $1,200 in unpaid taxes. The dream purchase of the plumbing company where he works is a long way off no matter who wins the election. McCain acknowledged Thursday he hadn't ever spoken to the man he'd suddenly made a central figure in his quest for the presidency; McCain didn't speak with Wurzelbacher until Friday.

"Sorry, Joe," the Republican hopeful said Thursday on "The Late Show" with David Letterman for bringing Wurzelbacher a tornado of public attention he never sought.

I feel like mccain is just discovering technology of the nineties to run against a guy who is organizing with technology of today.

McCain seems like he isn't using the most current tools available, somehow.

That's scary!
