Religious Intolerance Cuts Both Ways!!

the bible says not to kill-----then is punishing murderers merely intolerant ?

better example: EVERYONE knows Murder is wrong...Buddhists, Muslims, Democrats, even atheists. Are they all 'intolerant'? Sure. Most people have the common sense to know basic right from wrong. Our society simply doesn't tolerate Murderers, Child-rapists, and, thankfully, the vast majority of our society has the good sense to know homosexuality is both destructive, and biologically 'wrong'. We 'tolerate' homosexuals because we view them as being poor bastards who weren't blessed with good sense, or having traumatic upbringing which removed the ability to identify themselves apart from their choice of sexual partners.

Not necessarily. Democrats vote for people who suport abortion, republicans generally vote for those who represent their point of view which is pro-life instead. It's not the that we are different in the way we vote but what we vote for.

Yes -there are many threads ONLY about Homosexuality. This thread is about religion and tolerance...no need to muck it up by turning it into 'another' thread about homosexuality and it's horrible effects on society

You missed my point.

And you are suggesting that gays can't be either a murderer nor rapist? I'll ask the question in another thread if you'd like to discuss the topic.

The whole point of this thread is so show examples of how Liberals are very intolerant of the so called religious right, no not every liberal but many in the mainstream press and other organizations especially the ACLU have made sport of showing no tolerance for anything moral or anything that opposes their opinions. Each and every person has the right to form opinions about how they wish to live their lives and make moral judgements even to the point of voting for politicians that support those ideals. Problem comes in when religious people are constantly impuned, ridiculed, and asked to keep their ideololgy to themseles becasue the monority of secularist find it offensive. I see very little acceptance and or tolerance coming from the left in any venue, media, colleges, or organizations that expresses the same graciousness, or tolerance that they expect to come from the right. It's just not happening.
