recent voter fraud rhetoric explained

Because voter fraud is essentially irrational, it is not surprising that no credible evidence suggests a voter fraud epidemic. There is no documented wave or trend of individuals voting multiple times, voting as someone else, or voting despite knowing that they are ineligible. Indeed, evidence from the microscopically scrutinized 2004 gubernatorial election in Washington State actually reveals just the opposite: though voter fraud does happen, it happens approximately 0.0009% of the time. The similarly closely-analyzed 2004 election in Ohio revealed a voter fraud rate of 0.00004%. National Weather Service data shows that Americans are struck and killed by lightning about as often.”

You mean they were detected about that often, the WI mall shooter voted in 3 elections illegally and went undetected till he committed a crime. How many more are out there like him? But hey, people give their word they're citizens when they register so that's good enough, right?

Really, two illegal votes changed an election here in TX, last I heard one had been convicted and the second was set to go to trial. The fact is we don't know how many illegal votes are cast, we only know of the small percentage that are caught. Until we can verify the citizenship and residency of every voter, we'll never know.

Voter 'fraud' is so exceedingly rare as to be virtually nonexistent.

Rare, isolated, and anecdotal incidents of 'fraud' do not pose a threat to the election process, and in no way 'justify' enacting un-Constitutional undue burdens to the right to vote such as 'ID laws.'
