"More than half of Americans, 52%, now view Sarah Palin unfavorably, the highest percentage holding a negative opinion of the former Alaska governor in Gallup polling since Sen. John McCain tapped her as the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee. Her 40% favorable rating ties her lowest favorable score, recorded just over a year ago."

Latest Poll Shows Obama Clobbering Palin, GOP In 2012 Presidential Election

Posted Dec 16, 2010 11:30am EST by Henry Blodget
After the Republicans swept to power in the mid-term elections, many pundits figured that Barack Obama would obviously be a one-term president. Based on the latest national poll numbers, however, that doesn't appear to be the case.

A new Wall Street Journal NBC News poll shows that Obama holds a comfortable lead over all the major presumed GOP challengers, including Sarah Palin. In a head-to-head race, in fact, Palin trails the President by whopping 22 points, 50 percent to 33 percent.

Obama currently leads head-to-head over every other presumed Republican candidate as well, including against Mitt Romney, where he holds a 7 point lead. (see also: Palin Doesn't Stand a Chance Against Obama in 2012)

did you enjoy the Rudy/Hillary race in 2008?

Some polls the lib PDS drones here conveniently forgot to add.

In their latest poll, Rasmussen finds that 51 percent have a favorable view of Sarah Palin while 43 percent have an unfavorable view.
SARAH PALIN?S APPROVAL RATING HIGHER THAN BARACK OBAMA?S - TheCypressTimes

After the release of her much-publicized autobiography and the ensuing book tour, Sarah Palin is still viewed more unfavorably than favorably by Americans, though her favorable rating has improved slightly (now 44%, up from 40% in October).

Palin?s Favorable Up Slightly; Obama?s Holds Steady

Now let's use some of the PDS crowd's own numbers shall we:
Favorable: 46% AP-GfK
Favorable: 40% USA Today
Favorable: 40% CNN
Favorable: 39% ABC
Favorable: 22% CBS
Favorable: 31% Quinnipiac
=313/8=39.125%

Better, but still not as good as some of the individual polls have it. Thankfully, there's alotta time till 2012, and general, undeserved, public ignorance like this can be cured.

WTF does it matter? Anybody who needs a poll to decide what they think about somebody is deranged.

Best race of 2008

it's what everyone was hoping for and didn't happen. but polls in 2005-06 said that would be the matchup.

im really not using it as a guide to who i will vote for in 2012. im simply using it as rebuttal of all these crazy far right wingers who want to justify that Palin is a viable candidate. most of america think she is way to far right and her political views actually help Obama get re-elected.

the biggest difference between 2008 and 2010 is that we having a sitting president who can be re-elected vs. when had to elect someone new.

Here are the latest real numbers, apples to apples, on FAVORABILITY:

Positive/negative

WSJ poll 12/13/10:

Obama 48% positive 38% negative - PLUS 10

Palin 28% positive 38% negative - MINUS 10

Favorable/Unfavorable

Bloomberg Poll 12/7/10

Obama 52 - 44 - PLUS 8

Palin 33 - 57 - MINUS 24

So, please, enough with the bullshit.

Do you know your link is from November of 2009?

No, I missed that, but am objective enough to admit when I made a silly mistake.

Retool the math:
Rasmussen 51%
Gallup 40%
Favorable: 46% AP-GfK
Favorable: 40% USA Today
Favorable: 40% CNN
Favorable: 39% ABC
Favorable: 22% CBS
Favorable: 31% Quinnipiac
309/8=38.625

Well, my mistake aside, I'm STILL RIGHT thankfully. Her cumulative approval rating is roughly 40% give or take a point.

But fair is fair, I pwned him before, and he pwned me here, so I'll take em off my belt.

If public ignorance is cured, Gov. Palin may be less favorably rated than the Congress (below 13%; at that level only you and the other willfully ignorant will be favorably disposed).

Take your PDS elsewhere.

Palins problem is that she is preaching to the choir. She only allows interviews to supportive networks, she only speaks to supportive crowds and she surrounds herself with people who tell her how great she is.

If she wants to break out as a national candidate, she has to convince the middle that she is not a walking Barbie Doll. You can't fix stupid.

The quitter could not even be elected Governor of Alaska again

Palin has quit whenever she has had hard times in her life. She could not win another election at any level.

She has a bright future as Fox News commentator and Reality TV star. As new stars within the GOP develop (Christie, Rubio, Brown) she will fade from view. In five years she will be center square on Hollywood Squares
