Belarus arrested a newspaper reporter critical of the government. The reporter has since twice appeared on TV in hostage videos, bruised and beaten. His fingers are misshapen and twisted, his face cut and bruised, looking half dead. He has confessed to everything the state accused him of;.

Putin poisoned his political opponent. I suppose you'd think it was OK if Trump had tried to murder Biden to keep him from winning the election. It's not his first poisoning, but since it was unsuccessful in killing his opponent, he sentenced him to 5 years at hard labor in a prison camp.

It's bad enough that Trump sent the mob to kill the Congressional Leaders, including the Vice-President, and the Vice-President elect, in an insurrection designed to overturn the election by force, . In Russia, the loser in an insurrection attempt is summarily shot. In fact, in most countries in the world, Trump would have been executed.

Trump spent 4 years trying to arrest Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, Joe Biden, and all of the national security leadership under the Obama Administration for have the audacity to investigate his ties to Moscow. 9 people plead guilty and were convicted, and two of them are seriously implicated in the planning of the insurrection.

The insurrectionists are still locked up because they planned to do harm to people and they have not recanted their crimes. If released, they still represent a danger to the republic.

My understanding and opinion are that Trump lifted most of the sanctions on the QT.

Trump didn't lift sanctions, but only because both the House and Senate passed a nearly unanimous Resolution i.e. veto proof, which prohibited him from lifting any sanctions against Russia without the Consent of the House and Senate.

Since he couldn't lift the sanction, he refused to impose them. Trump spent a lot of time announcing sanctions against Russia, then giving "exceptions" to people he wanted to do business with. Like the Russian oligarch who wanted to launder invest $50 million in McConnell's state.

Was Trump in office when these resolutions were passed? Maybe after he lifted sanctions?
