I just finished watching the press conference president Trump had talking about his proposed tax cut and how he wanted it to be complete by the end of this year.
In the background lert pasty-faced Howdy Doody Mitchy Ritch McConnell, grinning like a crocodile.
In this first round of pushing his tax cuts the score is Donald Trump - 0, GOP establishment - 1.
If you listen, you heard Trump say he wanted this tax cut proposal passed by the end of the year, while Paul Ryan was shown on video saying that he will keep Congress there in Washington through Christmas if that's what it takes to pass it.
Mitchie Rich, however, stepped up to the microphone and quietly, sneakily undermine the president by claiming that his goal was to pass tax legislation in this Congress, which means that would give the Senate until January 2018 to address tax legislation.
This is called the 'slow roll', the first step of dragging out undesired actions or legislation. McConnell proved he is not with the president's agenda and has no intention of trying to meet his preferred deadline, if he intends to take any action at all, much like he did not do with the ACA.
Following up these two, was the Republican senator from South Dakota. He revealed even further information regarding the truth behind the plans of congress's the / GOP tax cut plan.
He stated that the voice plan initially was 5 trillion in tax cuts but they actually only have by their calculations 1.4 that they can actually do. Already the Washington establishment is not only delaying but undercutting the amount of tax cuts president Trump wants to deliver to the American people.
Mitchie Rich's crocodile smile behind the president as the president spoke at the podium showed what's going in his little conniving Washington establishment mind - he is determined, as he has proven with the rest of the president's agenda so far, that he will undermine it as much as possible.
