I think more than an age should be considered. Though I would posit that 25 is a good place to start. People should pass an exam composed of several basic questions to determine whether or not they even understand what they're doing when they vote.

Since the parts of the human brain that control judgement generally do not fully develop until the age of 25, I think it would be wiser to restrict voting to those who are 25 or older.

I do not recall it being the Dems that lead the push to raise the drinking age to 21. The Repubs were in power when Florida was blackmailed into raising their drinking age by the Fed Govt

I would say 27. If a person can be on mommy and daddy's insurance plan until they are 26, they aren't responsible enough to vote.

They fuck them over by how much they are willing to cover, what the price of insulin they will cover and how much they are allowed to have

There is no age where they stop fucking people over, but I am lucky to have retired from the Marine Corps and have great insurance for a very low price, in fact him being on the policy does not change the premiums at all.

But their children and grandchildren will. My father is going to be 91 in a few months and never misses an election. He does so for the future generations like his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked all his life, a Korean war veteran, and more than paid his dues to society.

If that's the way you feel, fine, but that has nothing to do with age. If they are fucking him at 18, they will fuck him at 28. I've been a diabetic since the age of 23 and always had my employer sponsored insurance.
