While it would do me a world of good, the goal is to get businesses to hire.

Unemployment funds come out of business taxes. Unemployment taxes are assessed on number of full time employees times a rate based on the business types turnover.

In some states and for some jobs the tax rate is over $1000 per month. And if we extend more unemployment benefits, the rates will go higher yet.

Businesses will think long and hard before they hire anyone when the next new hire costs them that kind of coin.

I say absolutely not! Even Socialist job creation like FDR's WPA beats the shit out of paying people to sit on the couch getting unhealthy burdening the health-care system & ultimately loosing their job skills making it nearly impossible to ever get them to support themselves or be a productive member of society again.

Polls also show a lot of the problems.
But are virtually never viewed that way.

Virtually 1/2 of American people are below average!

Unemployment insurance prolongs unemployment. This is proven.

Umm so does lack of jobs.

virtually every dollar spent in unemployment benefits rolls right back into the economy with 2 weeks.

Hell - You mean China's economy in 2 weeks.

Well yes, China, England, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabi, Kuwait, Israel, etc.

The local water company in Lexington, KY is owned by a German company. Pay your water bill send Germany money.
Watch a movie and pay to Israel most likely.
Foreign ownership of agriculture. Buy a loaf of bread and route money to another country.

Globalization, you asked for it you got it.

Buy some bottled water and send money to France.

And all of that boosts our economic figures and says the recession is over :D

Which average? Mean, mode or median. When they talk incomes, they usually talk median.

Which is the highest level of average, I think. I believe median is the income level where the same number of people are earning more than that as are earning less than that.

Mode would be the most common income

Don't try and compte with Rdean in the realm of deliberately stupid. He will leave you choking in his dust.

And whats wrong with Average? It works for Dow Jones

The median is simple the middle income. So if you took all the incomes and lined them up in order from highest to lowest, median would be in the middle. If most of the incomes were smaller (which is the case), the median would be lower than the average. If most of the incomes were larger, the median would be higher than the average.

Of course it should. I mean don't you support the guy who lives off your taxes? No I think if a person is honestly trying to find work then yes but there needs to be checks on people. It is very easy to stick it to the system.
