While it would do me a world of good, the goal is to get businesses to hire.

Unemployment funds come out of business taxes. Unemployment taxes are assessed on number of full time employees times a rate based on the business types turnover.

In some states and for some jobs the tax rate is over $1000 per month. And if we extend more unemployment benefits, the rates will go higher yet.

Businesses will think long and hard before they hire anyone when the next new hire costs them that kind of coin.

Even Socialist job creation like FDR's WPA beats the shit out of paying people to sit on the couch getting unhealthy burdening the health-care system & ultimately loosing their job skills making it nearly impossible to ever get them to support themselves or be a productive member of society again.

Watch a movie and pay to Israel most likely.
Foreign ownership of agriculture. Buy a loaf of bread and route money to another country.

Which is the highest level of average, I think. I believe median is the income level where the same number of people are earning more than that as are earning less than that.

The median is simple the middle income. So if you took all the incomes and lined them up in order from highest to lowest, median would be in the middle. If most of the incomes were smaller (which is the case), the median would be lower than the average. If most of the incomes were larger, the median would be higher than the average.
