Poll: Do You Support Extending Unemployment Beyond 99 Weeks?
Yes or No
Yes. Should be 5000 weeks minimum.
While it would do me a world of good, the goal is to get businesses to hire.
Unemployment funds come out of business taxes. Unemployment taxes are assessed on number of full time employees times a rate based on the business types turnover.
In some states and for some jobs the tax rate is over $1000 per month. And if we extend more unemployment benefits, the rates will go higher yet.
Businesses will think long and hard before they hire anyone when the next new hire costs them that kind of coin.
I say absolutely not! Even Socialist job creation like FDR's WPA beats the shit out of paying people to sit on the couch getting unhealthy burdening the health-care system & ultimately loosing their job skills making it nearly impossible to ever get them to support themselves or be a productive member of society again.
It is everyone's right to have an above average income!
Agreed. It doesn't matter that this doesn't make mathematical sense. What matters is that everyone is equal.
Get it right....
The poll shows my answer
Polls also show a lot of the problems.
But are virtually never viewed that way.
Virtually 1/2 of American people are below average!
Unemployment insurance prolongs unemployment. This is proven.
